SSSS Core Facilities
Scientific Support Services at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner Research Institute:
- Central Cell Services- gives support related to cell culture, media / solution preparation and glassware washing and sterilization
- Electronics Core- provides electronic design and repair services and electronic animal surgical support
- Flow Cytometry Core- resource for analytical and preparative studies of cells using flow cytometry
- Gene Expression Core- provides access to state-of-the-art microarray technology for global gene expression profiling experiments, as well as real-time PCR analyses
- Genomics Core- provides state-of-the-art genomics capabilities: sequencing, genotyping and gene expression arrays
- Imaging Core- provides digital imaging, histology, and electron microscopy
- Mass Spectrometry II Core- enables the quantification of molecules in complex matrices and structural characterization of small compounds
- Polymer Core- 900 square foot Polymer Lab consists of a class 100 clean room and transitional gray room, a main laboratory room for polymer processing , and a molding room
- Proteomics Core- uses advanced tandem mass spectrometry methods for the sequencing and identification of proteins in electrophoretic gels
- Prototype Core- provides a wide range of mechanical design, manufacturing and repair services
- Shared Instruments Core - equipped with a Molecular Dynamics Model 400E Phosphorimager and a Molecular Dynamics Storm-840 Imager
- Small Molecule Screening Core - provides the researchers with the expertise, technology, instrumentation and reagents necessary for the screening of the library of small molecules for biologically active compounds in a variety of readout systems
